Struggles of a small business

Introduction

The business that I have chosen to teach my audience about is called Leopard Boutique, in Webster Missouri. I am a current employee at this boutique and I am passionate about the hard work that everyone at this business puts in towards its success. Leopard includes a large variety of products, they prioritize quality brands and unique pieces for their customers to enjoy. One of their best selling products are the jeans that they carry, often having success in stocking from Z-Supply and Kut Jeans. My audience for this business is the target market of shoppers that all employees hope to attract. This includes mostly middle-aged and older women, wealthy, and looking for unique pieces in their wardrobe. Looking for loyal customers that love the brand and want to have good relationships with the employees. 

Audience

I think that my other audience could be anyone that owns a small business or wants to start their own business. Starting a business can be a difficult task, having the knowledge on how to succeed can be a great first step before opening your company to the public. As an employee, consumer, and student I think I am able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of this business from a variety of unique perspectives. 

Marketing Strategies

One of the problems I hope to solve is the Marketing strategies that Leopard currently has, and how they can improve to reach a wider audience. Forbes Magazine lists out the major struggles of small businesses, one of these being ineffective marketing. Going through each of these key points is important for any small business in understanding where their obstacles may lay. What is the most important marketing outlet and how can it affects a small companies online consumer growth?
